Programs
A number of extracurricular enrichment programs are available at St. Mary's Schools and Center. Here are just a few:
•A full calendar of spiritual growth and support activities to fulfill our primary mission. Click on below for more information.
•Day School sports teams by grades in track and field, baseball, basketball, and volleyball in competition against other schools through the Catholic Youth Organization (C.Y.O.).
•A uniformed troop of the Boy Scouts of America engaged in a number of field activities designed to foster independence, citizenship, and leadership.
•A delightful summer educational program for grade school children including first aid classes, museum trips, and other educational field trips! All under counselor supervision and open to children not enrolled regularly at St. Mary's. This is known as St. Mary's Incredible Learning Experience (S.M.I.L.E.)!!
•A St. Mary's Youth and Young Adults Group for those of high school and college age, promoting social and spiritual group activities, including an entertaining music program and attendance at international conferences overseas.
•A very active Parent Teachers Group (P.T.G.) which meets regularly and takes a serious role in the education and molding of the Day School youngsters.
•A diverse social program for adults including Sunday coffees, retreats for adults in Chinese Parish Unity masses and luncheons, a joyous annual Chinese New Year's lunch program, an annual Chinese banquet for the entire St. Mary's family, and cruises abroad.
•Two major annual awards:
◦The Fr. Charles A. Donovan, C.S.P Award For Outstanding Service To St. Mary's
◦The Pope John XXIII Medal For Commitment To Service To The Youth and Education
