Third Grade enjoyed learning about the Winter Olympics in Reading.  They learned about Vancouver & Canada, some winter sports, ancient Greece, competition, medals, and a little history. We watched a bobsled competition (& the 3rd graders chanted U S A/ U S A.)

We had a bank vice president teach us "Jr. Achievement"; the class learned about city planning/zoning, setting up a business, writing for newspapers, and using checks and ATM's.It was very hands-on and fun.  The class was invited to visit the Bank of SF, the Jr. Achievement volunteers for a field trip and will visit March 10th.

Lastly, the girls have started practicing basketball, and their first game is scheduled for Friday, March 12th.

Tuesdays are exciting with both music (learning the recorder!) and art with Miss Pendleton.  Our upcoming art lesson will follow the ideas/paintings of Paul Klee, the prominent Swiss artist who died in the 1940's.
